MailOptin Update – New Filters, Improvements and More

We’re thrilled to announce our latest plugin update, MailOptin, released on December 8, 2023. Packed with new features, improvements, and bug fixes, we’re confident this upgrade will streamline your experience with our plugin.

Let’s delve into the fundamental changes.

What’s New:

  • Restricting Emails Based on Taxonomies: We’ve added support to restrict emails based on taxonomies attached to the ‘post’ post type. This means you will have more control over your email targeting, ensuring you reach the right audience with relevant content.
  • Error Message Parameter: A new $errormessage parameter has been added to the mo_optin_form_email_error_email_subject filter. This addition provides more detailed control over handling error messages in your email subject lines, allowing for a smoother user experience.

  • Managing Unsubscribe List: We believe in maintaining a hygienic email list. Improved functionality now automatically removes users from the unsubscribe list when deleted. This helps keep your unsubscribe list current and relevant.

Bug Fixes

  • Brevo Merge Tags: We have addressed and fixed a bug involving Brevo merge tags not functioning as intended in email campaigns. Now, these tags should operate smoothly, improving the overall functioning of your email campaigns.

These updates aim to enhance the overall functionality and performance of the product. As always, we recommend keeping your software up to date so you can benefit from these improvements and avoid any known issues.

Be sure to update to the latest version to take advantage of this new feature. You can update your MailOptin plugin from your website’s dashboard by navigating to Dashboard>>Updates. You can also download the latest version from your MailOptin account dashboard.
