Below are different ways you can use MailOptin with the Ultimate Member plugin. But first, please make sure your store is running Ultimate Member and has the MailOptin plugin activated.
User Registration via Any Registration Forms
Follow the steps below to add all Ultimate Member users to a specific email list regardless of the user registration form.
Go to MailOptin >> Settings >> Ultimate Member Integration and enable the MailOptin integration.
Select your email marketing software (e.g., Mailchimp, AWeber, MailerLite, etc.) and the email list to add customers to.
If you don’t use an email marketing service, you can save your students in WordPress by selecting “MailOptin Leads” as your integration. Learn more about MailOptin Leads.
You can also pass additional user data about your students, beyond their names and email addresses, by mapping their profile information to the corresponding custom fields in your email marketing software.
You can also specify or select custom tags to assign to them.
Finally, save your changes.
User Registration via Specific Registration Forms
To add members or WordPress users who register via specific registration forms to specific lists or assign particular tags, open up the registration form edit page in Ultimate Member.
Open the MailOptin Integration sidebar metabox to select your email marketing software, choose the list to add them to, map custom fields, and assign tags to them.
Setting Up Newsletter Subscription Checkbox
By default, MailOptin automatically subscribes Ultimate Member users to your email list after they register. The following guide will show you how to add an optin checkbox to the Ultimate Member registration form to ask permission before adding them to your email marketing list.
On the Ultimate Member Integration Settings page in MailOptin settings, change the Subscribe Method to “Ask for permission” and configure the optin checkbox label.
Please remember to save your changes.
When a visitor or user of your WordPress is on the Ultimate Member registration form, they will see an optin checkbox nudging them to subscribe to your email list.
